The Story of Hey Beach Babe

As a baby, I spoke my first sentence while standing with my feet in the Atlantic Ocean.

When I was a kid, I told everyone my mom was getting transferred to California for work because my friend's dad had just been transferred to North Carolina and so I knew job transfers happened, and I was convinced if I said it enough and I really believed it, it would come true.

As a teen, my parents gave me a sandcastle sculpture made of real sand (which I still have!)

In my twenties, I spent my summers on patios in The Beaches, an area of Toronto with a big beach and a boardwalk.

In my thirties, I had a beach-themed wedding because I couldn't convince myself to elope to an ACTUAL beach and not have all my family there, but I had dreamed of a beach wedding for years.

And now, I spend my lunch breaks in the summer sitting on the beach for an hour and dreaming of moving somewhere that I could live beachfront and visit year-round.

I'm a Beach Babe. I've been a Beach Babe since I was born; I just wasn't lucky enough to have been born somewhere hot and oceanside.

So for all the other Beach Babes, the ones who love the feeling of their toes in the sand and the sound of the waves kissing the shore, I made "Hey Beach Babe" – a limited-edition run of jewelry filled with sand from beaches around the world, so you can take the beach with you wherever you go.
